The Discovery Scholarship Program provides scholarships and networking to students from universities across the country, awarding more than $80,000 annually in increments of no less than $2,000.

  • Students majoring in business, engineering, or a related program
  • Must be a full-time student (at least 12 credit hours)
  • Cumulative GPA: Minimum 3.25/4.0 (unweighted)
  • Freshman status (graduation date between August 2022-August 2023)
  • United States citizen or permanent resident
  • No prior acceptance of an employment offer from a Koch company
  • Dependents of family members currently employed by Koch companies and/or affiliates are not eligible
  • Past recipients of scholarships from Koch companies and/or affiliates are not eligible

What is Koch Discovery Day?

Scholarship finalists will be invited to attend Koch Discovery Day on March 6, 2020, at our global headquarters in Wichita, Kansas. At Discovery Day, students gain exposure to global business leaders, network with campus alumni and gain insight into our long-term management philosophy.

WHAT'S THE SELECTION PROCESS?

Applications will be reviewed based on academic achievements, university organizations and activities, relevant work experience, and honors and awards. Selected applicants may receive an interview request, and finalists will be invited to attend Koch Discovery Day.

Do I have to attend Koch Discovery Day?

Though finalists are not required to attend, it is highly encouraged. This event is a valuable opportunity to seek knowledge, network with Koch intern alumni and get a feel for our unique company culture. Travel expenses, such as hotel and mileage costs, are covered for students who must travel.

If I apply for a scholarship, do I also have to apply for internships?

We hope that you’ll want to explore internship, co-op and full-time career opportunities with Koch companies. However, a commitment to an employment offer is not required to participate in the Koch Discovery Scholarship Program.

Are Koch Discovery Scholarships renewable?

The Discovery Scholarship provides one-time financial assistance and is non-renewable. Past recipients of scholarships from Koch companies and/or affiliates are not eligible to reapply each year. However, those not selected as recipients are welcome to reapply.

WHY ISN’T MY SCHOOL LISTED AS AN ELIGIBLE UNIVERSITY?

In order to provide a meaningful and engaging experience for students in the Discovery Scholarship program, we focus our recruiting efforts on a limited number of universities. If your university is not listed, you may be eligible for other scholarships we support.
